1001 Albums You Must Hear (and Blog about) Before You Die

My attempt to blog all of the entries from the book 1001 Albums to Hear Before You Die

753. Electric Warrior – T. Rex

Original album is tracks 1-11

Brief Background: Electric Warrior was recorded in London in the beginning of 1971 and released in September of the same year. It was the second album released as T. Rex shortened from Tyrannosaurus Rex which was and era where the band was focused more on folk rock.

What I think: When you look up the word “Cool” in the dictionary, this album should be pictured. It is the quintessential laid back rock album. So sit back in your favorite spot close your eyes, don’t think too much about the lyrics and just let the vibe roll over you. Ohowww.

Do I agree or disagree with the writers as to this being an album you must listen to? No doubt about it. Love this album.

Rating (Out of 5): 5
